Headache is very common in our day to day lives. Most are caused by the life demanding activities that we undertake today.

Headache is very common in our day to day lives. Most are caused by the life demanding activities that we undertake today.

A headache may accompany any illness, particularly a feverish ailment such as flu. It may develop for no reason but can often be trace to tiredness, tension, stress or undue heat or cold. Mild poisoning in the air, pollution by gases or excessive use of alcohol or drugs also may trigger headaches. Consistent headaches can be a prominent sign of other diseases like meningitis, stroke, vision problems and high blood pressure e.t.c

Its best to relive pain by obtaining the proper medication from qualified professionals. Drugs like Aspirin may be used .If you have a headache you can sit or lie in a quite place and apply a cold cloth on the head, it helps it cool down.
NB: Do not give Aspirin to a child if you do not know the cause of the headache because Aspirin tends to trigger other symptoms.
Caution: Always seek urgent medical advice if pain or headache:

* Develops very suddenly

* Is very severe and incapacitating

* Is accompanied by fever or vomiting

* Is recurrent and persistent even with use of medicine or not

* Is accompanied by general body weakness or sensation or even impaired consciousness

* Is accompanied by a stiff neck

* Follows a head injury
